You heard it right, we spend some time on every project making sure all the files are named properly and does not contain any mistakes, being a classic one to forget to mute dialog and SFX.

With amazing features like exporting multiple stems with cycle markers on Cubase, still you have to be patient and laser focus to do it correctly and at once.

And, if you have several projects for the same movie with different cues (as you should), then the process can take up to several hours. 😱

Sometimes you can really make a difference just thinking about who is gonna perform the music you write. In this case, it’s not gonna be a recording session, but a theatre play that is gonna take weeks of rehearsals and an actress is going to perform the piano as well. Why not helping here gain control over the score by suggesting some fingering. “Me veo en ti”, (I see myself in you) is the title of the book my mum wrote and yesterday was the official presentation. As you can see all the family is extremely proud! With gorgeous drawing made by @patudifusa, proofreading by @teseointokyo and tech support by Himar Muñoz, I composed the music included in the guided meditation that is part of this book.

Today it was the premiere of Planet Aurora, a piece I wrote back in August based on one of my favorite books ever, ‘Robots of Dawn’ by Isaac Asimov.

It’s been a great pleasure to listen to this music being performed by @orquestacomunitariagc under the conducting of David Crespo. And in one of the most special venues in the world, the @auditorioakraus

I take as a huge compliment to have my name thrown in the mix of a program with music by Jerry Goldsmith, James Newton Howard and John Williams, among others, feels weird and amazing at the same time! Thanks to all the people that was there, sold out Auditorio is also huge!

@blazhen.nastevski flew from Belgium to be there at that moment, thanks a lot.

I also want to thank S. for all the support during these months of hard work and chaos. She was there when I needed her the most.

Hoy fue el estreno de Planet Aurora, la pieza que compuse el pasado agosto basada en el libro “los robots del amanecer” de Isaac Asimov, un libro que me acompaña desde mi adolescencia y uno de mis favoritos.

Ha sido increíble escuchar la obra interpretada por la @orquestacomunitariagc bajo la dirección de David Crespo. Además en un auditorio que considero un templo, como es el @auditorioakraus. Emociona verlo completamente lleno y escuchar la música tuya junto a la de Goldsmith, Newton Howard o John Williams, es un honor que porto con muchísimo respecto.

Gracias a la gran cantidad de amigos que se acercaron a escuchar, ellos saben quiénes son y lo mucho que significa para mí que hayan estado. Especial mención a @blazhen.nastevski que voló desde Bélgica para no perdérselo.

Por supuesto, gracias a S. por todo el apoyo y aguantarme en unos meses especialmente duros y caóticos. Siempre ahí, cuando más la necesito.

I was so happy to come back and watch again Alisia. The music score I did for this project has a special place in my heart, not only because I got the chance to work with Eli and Marcos. I had the freedom to create an atmospheric music for 0-3 years old little ones. Creating sounds from scratch, proposing live instruments and making songs.

Estando en Lanzarote pude ir a ver de nuevo Alisia, espectáculo para bebés al que tuve el placer de poner música. Fue un proyecto muy especial, primera vez trabajando con Eli y Marcos, que además me dieron libertad creativa absoluta. Creamos sonidos desde cero, atmósferas completas para los bebés y algunas canciones.

Yesterday it was the premiere of ‘Colacerdo’,

Yesterday it was the premiere of ‘Colacerdo’, a theatre play based on Nobel prize winner Gabriel García Márquez “100 años de soledad”.

My deepest gratitude to @nachorepublica and @teatrolarepublica for letting me find some spots to display the concept that I had in mind for this project.

It was also a special project because I had the chance to bring my friend Macedonian composer @blazhen.nastevski to create a gipsy cue that brought all the energy in the world. True honor!

This is a excerpt made for a transition that happens after an emotional punch, so we are helping the audience to release the tension, breath and prepare for the last bit of the show. Hope you like it!
